Dr Michael Dada is a highly experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of practice in both clinical and forensic psychology. He has worked extensively with diverse patient groups across a wide range of settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, in-patient, residential, and secure services in both the NHS and private sector.

Early in his career, Dr Dada spent more than a decade in general adult mental health, providing specialist psychological services for individuals with both minor and major psychological disorders, while also lecturing and conducting research in clinical psychology. In 2004, he was appointed as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, further expanding his work with multi-disciplinary teams and specialist services.

Dr Dada has a particular expertise in autism spectrum conditions, having spent over 15 years working with individuals who may also present with learning disabilities, mental illness, and challenging behaviour. He has served as a corporate lead clinician for an Autism Practice Group and, most recently, as the Clinical Lead for a specialist autism service. His skills include the use of specialist diagnostic and assessment tools such as DISCO, AAA, and ADOS-2, and he is adept at adapting cognitive behavioural interventions for individuals with autism who present with complex clinical and forensic needs.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Dada provides professional training on autism spectrum conditions for parents, staff, and other professionals, and supervises trainees from various professional backgrounds. He is actively involved in academic collaborations, research, and the organisation of local and international conferences and workshops. His professional network includes links with leading autism agencies and organisations, such as Oxford Autism and the National Autistic Society. He is also a Chartered Member and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), a Senior Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, and a professional member of the British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD).
